To post your stories, go to your assignment page on AO3 and hit "Fulfill"; alternatively if you use the Post New page, make sure to select the assignment in the Associations box to fulfill your assignment.

Signups are open! They are open through to Mon 25 Jan.

You must request at least 3 fandoms, and request at least 1 character in each. You can request up to 6 fandoms, and up to 6 characters in each.

You must offer at least 4 fandoms, and offer at least 2 characters in each. You can offer up to 8 fandoms, with 8 characters in each.

Matching is on characters and "AND". That means that you will be matched to someone who has offered all the characters you are requesting. If you request A and B, someone needs to offer at least A and B to match to you. Someone offering B and C will not be matched to you; someone offering A, B and C can be matched to you.

You may offer and request "Any". Please make sure you understand what ANY means: if you request "Any", you are asking for any character in that fandom in the tagset (NOT any character in the novel). If you offer "Any", the same stricture applies - you may be asked to write a fic featuring any of the characters in the tagset under that particular fandom.

For example, if you request "Any" in the Psy-Changeling series, you are saying you want to receive a fic featuring ANY combination of the characters nominated under the fandom. There are twenty-eight characters nominated - you are saying you want fic about any of the twenty-eight. On the flipside, if you offer "Any", you may be required to write about any of the 28 characters.

Do not use "Any" to request characters not nominated in the tagset.

Letters are optional but encouraged! Letters are often short summaries of what you like and dislike about fic, prompts for the fandom and characters, for your writer and any treaters. You can also put the information directly in the optional details box on AO3, or you can post them elsewhere and put in a link.

If you are going to request "Any", please think about giving prompts for the nominated characters. You are essentially giving your writer a blank slate; many writers want to tailor their gifts to their recipient and will want something to go on. A letter or some information in the additional details box will be helpful.

You may nominate up to 3 fandoms, with six characters in each one.

You can nominate single title books or series. Stick to "Title - Author Name" format. Eg "Devil in Winter - Lisa Kleypas" or "Princes Trilogy - Elizabeth Hoyt". If there is already a tag for that book or series on AO3, use that.

Character names need to be unique (this is an AO3 limitation). If you get an error, you can add a parenthetical with the work to distinguish it. For example if you have a character called John Smith, you can amend it to John Smith (Book Title).

Remember, signups are based on ONLY what is in the tagset. If you want to request or offer a particular novel/character, make sure to nominate it yourself.
